JC Gonzo (b. 1989) takes investigative photographic excursions; researching, documenting, and re-contextualizing localized sub- and counter-cultural histories as a form of meta-ecology and anthropology. These reports are depicted through a variety of documentational media, including photography and video, functioning both as a referential report on and celebration of chaos as exhibited by the natural world.

JC Gonzo has written for Sensitive Skin MagazineWhite Fungus, L_A_N, and The Santa Fe Reporter. He earned a self-designed BA in ‘Sexual Liberation As Art’ at the College of Santa Fe in 2011. He also works alongside artist Red Cell as 'The Product Division,' a third-mind based collaborative who were artists-in-residence at the William S. Burroughs Estate in the Fall of 2014. He is currently based in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
